We were welcomed into ARIA Catering’s venues at Sydney Opera House during 2012 as their new in-house AV supplier.

“We are so excited to be working with Innovative on this project. We wanted to ensure we had a supplier on hand to provide our clients with the very best quality and value possible for their AV requirements. For us, it’s all about making the client’s experience easier, more professional and affordable”, explains Madeline Nieuwenhuizen, General Manager, ARIA Catering.

We have installed a high end audio system in Opera Point Marquee along with a lot of AV infrustructure to make it quicker, easier, and more cost effective for clients to do events in the space.

Our main goal when working this closely with venues is to ensure the equipment used is of the highest calibre possible and we invest in intuitive technology which enables the equipment to be used for the most complex of conferences along side the most basic weddings.

We have dedicated venue pages for Opera Point Marquee, Northern Foyer and Utzon Room on our website which include photos, floor plans and other venue-specific resources.

Innovative have just added over 80 new German custom roadcases to our inventory.

“Why would you get excited about roadcases??” I hear you say… Many reasons! Here’s the top 5:

1. We have designed the roadcases to provide increased efficiency in the set up and pack down of equipment on events – our equipment is packaged up as ‘kits’ which means it is easier and faster to set up and pack down with more options if something gets changed on an event.
2. Streamlining procedures such as prep, set up and pack down means reducing labour: a win for our staff prepping and de-prepping - and a win for clients: the labour bill is reduced with the set up simplified.
3. With the amount of time and money that is invested in our state of the art equipment, it is no surprise we also invest heavily in the highest quality roadcases to transport our gear. Knowing our equipment is protected in transit makes us happy AND makes it more reliable.
4. Set ups are cleaner – the new cases are developed so there are not as many lids and “empties” that need to be taken off site – they are an all-in-one solution – just like us!
5. Quality German engineering ensures the roadcases are well made and will last for a very long time.

It was great to see the new Mac Viper along with the EC series of LED screens from Martin. Other new emerging technologies were seen first hand which are certainly on our shopping list!

Jeremy also attended the Rigging & OH&S Seminar run by Tiny Good from Showtech Rigging – you could say he left enlightened :)

Congratulations to all the winners from Surf Life Saving Sydney Branch Awards of Excellence night last Saturday. At innovative our GrandMA2 Ultralight has become the console we rely on for all our major shows. It delivers the best experience from all lighting control aspects: it’s powerful, it’s easy to use, and most of all its reliable!

Innovative Production Services has added 2 MA2 onPC wings to the inventory!

By having one primary platform for lighting control at innovative it will make training and support easier and more efficient. Add to this the fact that the MA2 platform is simply fantastic and as far as we are concerned, the best platform in the world. We couldn’t be happier with our new onPC wings!

Our recent purchase of 18 Matin MAC Aura fixtures sure has brightened up the place! Jeremy Koch called it “love at first light”, which is quite fitting for St Valentine’s Day :)

The extremely small size and weight allows them to be rigged in many more venues and situations where you could not normally hang a light. They are also very low in power consumption allowing up to 9 to be plugged into 1 standard power outlet.

“Finally we have an LED light that you really can’t tell is LED – this is special. At Innovative, the vast array of jobs that we do requires flexibility beyond belief. The MAC Aura allows us to light a lectern or stage for speeches with a warm tungsten feel and in an instant it can deliver incredible colours, zoom effects and speed to paint everyone’s eye candy dreams!”
