Venue: Centennial Parklands Dining
After the success of the first Evergreen Dinner in 2008, the Centennial Parklands Foundation called on four of Sydney's top chefs to prepare a menu which would ensure this year's fundraising dinner would be a night to remember.
The Evergreen Dinner this year raised funds to plant a completely new circle of 102 semi-mature trees inside Centennial Park's 3.6 km Grand Drive, providing new growth and helping to reduce the effect of the inevitable loss of the ageing trees within these iconic Parklands.
An exceptional menu of locally sourced organic and biodynamic produce was created by; Colin Fassnidge (Four in Hand), Matthew Kemp (Restaurant Balzac), Warren Turnbull (Restaurant Assiette), and Darren Foots (Centennial Parklands Dining). Each chef, to the guests' delight, tried to outdo one another by creating a mouth-watering course on the night. It was certainly the best crew meal the operators on the night have ever had!
Innovative provided Audio, Lighting, Staging, and Vision for the event ensuring a technically seamless event. Channel 7 also filmed the event which we fed live to the screens, enabling the host James O'Loghlin to interview the chefs in the kitchen as they plated up their respective courses.
The night was a huge success with the Parklands raising in excess of $80,000.
